Subject: Bargain on a Tent - MSR Hubba Hubba for $224.95

Camping Supply Advisors,

Thanks so much for your help in my introduction to the new world of
camping supplies and lightweight fabrics and poles. I did some
considerable research on tents (traveling alone during the week, gives
me time to internet research), and found a very good bargain. Since
many people come to you for advise on gear I thought I would share this
with you, so that you can share with others.

I decided to purchase an MSR Hubba Hubba two person tent. I borrowed a
Hubba, one person, and really liked it. I went with the two person on
the off chance my wife, Dee, ever decides to join us camping. The tent
normally retails for $299. I have seen it advertised on sale for around
$240, but last evening I found it for $224.95 from Hilton's Tent City
(www.hiltonstentcity.com). It is in their Bargain Basement area,
because it is the 2007 version of the tent. The only difference in the
2007 and 2008 versions is color. The 2007 has an orange fly and a grey
pole, while the 2008 has a yellow fly and a gold pole - I confirmed this
directly with MSR. One review website indicated that the 2008 was 0.1
ounces lighter, but MSR is not acknowledging this claim.

Hilton's Tent also offers free UPS Ground shipping on this tent. Since
they are a New York based company with no Texas retail outlets, they are
not required to collect any sales tax, so the bottom line is $224.95.

If any of you like I can share more details from my research and why I
decided on the Hubba Hubba (other than its cute name).

Thanks for your help and I am sure I will call upon your wisdom again.

Al
